Trans-Australia Airlines Museum

Committee 2018 - 2019

The TAA Museum was born through staff members who had given long service to the airline, and the TAA 25 Year Club was formed in 1972 in recognition of the achievements and contributions TAA and its people had made to both Australian and world aviation since 1946.

The 2015/16 Committee keeping the TAA / Australian Airlines 25 Year Club functioning is made up of -

President - John Wren

Vice President - Kevin Anderson

Secretary - Arnold Rogers

Treasurer - Jim Collins

Committee Members are -Terry Masocco, Paul Gluschenko, Sam Favazza, Eddie Creaney.

The Annual General Meeting was held on the 18th April 2018, at Skyways Hotel, Airport West, and in-line with the constitution, only paid up members and associate members were able to attend the actual meeting. Those attending the meeting then enjoyed a meal (subsidized by the 25 Year Club) and a chat with old friends over a drink or lemonade. The AGM reported plenty of projects going at our Museum, finances have increased a bit and our member numbers have increased. The AGM was all over in about an hour and a bit, and after the new committee was elected, they took up their duties.

There were over 35 people attending this years meeting and after the meeting they were joined by a number of "Friends of the Museum" who were also there to support the 25 Year Club and Museum.

The new Committee was elected and since there was only one nomination for the vacant position from Eddie Creaney (Finance HO), Eddie was elected. There was a lot of interest after the meeting on general Museum matters and these questions were addressed by John Wren. We then went downstairs to a reserved area for lunch [financially contributed to by the 25 Year Club] and a good old chat and catch up.
